Visual Mind 5.0 is released!
We are happy to announce that we have released a new version of Visual Mind. The new features represent so much added functionality to Visual Mind that we have decided to skip the "4.0" version tag. The new version is therefore named "Visual Mind 5.0".
Later in this e-mail, you will find a list of all the new features that are introduced in Visual Mind 5.0.

Visual Mind 5.0 comes with a 30-day free trial period. This even applies if an earlier version of Visual Mind is installed (or has been installed) on the computer.
Visual Mind 5.0 will be installed alongside earlier versions of Visual Mind. This means that if you already have Visual Mind installed, you can still try out Visual Mind 5.0 before deciding if you would like to upgrade or stay with your current version.

Visual Mind 5.0 allows you to publish interactive Visual Mind maps on
the Internet or to your local computer network with just a few mouse
clicks. This allows your colleagues, friends and other contacts to view
your map in their web browsers. The viewers will be able to read the map
in very much the same way as you do in Visual Mind. This includes
reading branches and notes, expanding/collapsing branches, launching web
hyperlinks, downloading linked files, and much more. |

OUTLOOK EXPRESS USERS: E-MAIL SUPPORT |

Like earlier versions have supported files, web hyperlinks and e-mail
addresses, Visual Mind 5.0 also supports links to specific e-mail
messages. This allows users to open e-mail messages directly from Visual
Mind. |

MS OUTLOOK USERS: OUTLOOK ELEMENTS SUPPORT |

It is now possible to include Microsoft Outlook elements (e-mails,
appointments, tasks, etc.) in a Visual Mind map. This allows users to

The new version has improved a lot on the drag&drop features. This has
opened up for a lot of new possibilities, as it is now possible to: - Drag files and folders from Windows Explorer - Drag e-mails from Outlook Express - Drag Outlook elements (e-mails, contacts, etc.) from Outlook. - Drag web addresses from web browsers. In addition, Visual Mind 5.0 supports moving or copying individual branch elements (images, file hyperlinks, etc.) from one branch to another. |

SPELL CHECKER |

Visual Mind 5.0 includes an English spell checker. Additional languages
are available at additional cost. |

IMPROVED PRINTING |

|
The printing feature is highly improved in Visual Mind 5.0. It is now
possible to specify which zoom factor, orientation and number of pages
to use. In addition, you can now see a small preview of the result
before actually printing it to paper. |

DOCUMENT TEMPLATES |
||
|
It is now possible to create new documents (Word, Excel, etc.) directly
from Visual Mind. The new document will automatically be inserted into
the Visual Mind map. If the user wanted to do this in earlier versions, he/she had to: 1) Start the other application (Word, Excel, etc.) 2) Create the new document in the other application. 3) Save the new document to local hard disk. 4) Insert a link to the new document in the Visual Mind map. Now, all this can be done in one operation from Visual Mind. Visual Mind 5.0 comes with templates for the most common document formats. In addition, other document formats can easily be added. |

When the user inserts a link to an image file, Visual Mind 5.0 will show
a small thumbnail of the image. |

While earlier versions of Visual Mind supported web hyperlink, file

This allows you to make phone calls directly from Visual Mind. |

It is now possible to link to file folders (not just files) in Visual
Mind. This allows you to open a particular folder directly from Visual
Mind. |

SAVE

|
Visual Mind 5.0 can store "View Information" about a Visual Mind map.
This allows a Visual Mind map to be opened in the same state as it was
when it was closed the last time. This includes the view style, the zoom
factor, expanded branches, and the selected branch. |

IMAGES OF OTHER FORMATS |
||
|
Importing own images to the image toolbar (right side of the map) was a
bit complicated in earlier versions of Visual Mind, as Visual Mind only
supported images of the ICON format. Now, Visual Mind supports a lot of
image formats (JPG, BMP, PNG, WMF, etc.). This means that you can now
easily insert your own images in Visual Mind. |

exporting a Visual Mind map to a "Microsoft Word Outline Document". This
means that the information in a Visual Mind map can be viewed in the
